Annie Marie Greenlee, the steady heart and anchor of her family, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Born on August 18, 1939, to Matthew and Mabel Meziere, Annie was the eldest of six children.
On October 12, 1957, she married Kenneth "Reggie" Greenlee, beginning a life built on a foundation of family and togetherness.
For over 60 years, Annie was the person the family relied on. From her first-born son, Mike, to her great-grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins, Annie's home was the place to be. She spent six decades watching over the children of the family, providing a constant and loving presence for generations of kids. Whether it was a quick visit or a long afternoon, if you were a child in the Meziere or Greenlee family, you grew up under Annie's watchful and caring eye.
Annie, with her compassion that knows no bounds, dedicated over 40 years of her life as the primary caregiver to her two disabled children, Danny and Cyndi Greenlee. Her life was a demonstration of a mother’s devotion, always making sure they were surrounded with comfort and her warmth.
She was the proud mother of Michael Greenlee, Debbie and David Thompson, Kathy Powers, Danny Greenlee, Cyndi Greenlee, and Mary Rutz.
She adored her grandchildren: Dr. Kimberly and Johnny Blasingame, Misty and Jeff White, Daniel Greenlee, Scott Thompson, Ken Barthelme, Shanna and Devon Grant, Jessica and Rick Cole, Samantha and James Passmore, Nikole Lynn Powers, and Marrs Rutz.
Her legacy continues through her twenty great-grandchildren: Shelly and Nick, Kylie and Jeremiah, Bailey, Kayla, Jaden, Ty, Annamarie, Jake, Wyatt, Ryan, Lucas, Raelynn, Alex, Kendra, Teagan, Grayson, Seth, Faith, Monroe, and Winry.
Annie loved and adored her siblings: Matt "Sonny" and Peggy Meziere, Judy and Bob Smith, Pat and MaryJo Meziere, Mary Gober, and Steve Meziere as well as her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Annie's life was defined by the family she watched grow and the many lives she touched simply by being there for them. She will be deeply missed by the generations of children who found a second home with her.
