Antonieta Garcia de Paz, 77, passed away May 10, 2022, at her home in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born December 22, 1944, in Mexico City, Mexico. She moved to Oklahoma in 1973 with her husband and daughter to pursue a better life. She was a feisty, independent, strong willed breast cancer survivor; willing to help by putting everyone else's needs first even while working through her own challenges. A caregiver who enjoyed her grandchildren immensely and would always say "yes" at any opportunity to watch over them when needed. She was a person who always let you know what she was thinking, even if she stuck her foot in her mouth. She was a dance/stage mom who worked tirelessly sewing costumes for her daughters and group members. A woman always on the go whose days could consist of making breakfast, carpooling kids to school, bowling on a league, mowing the yard while laundry was washing, being a handy man, carpooling kids home, making dinner and even hosting a fabulous dinner party for her friends and family. Socializing was one of her favorite pastimes and she never knew a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Domitilo and Juana, and siblings Alicia, Estella, Jaime and Jose Luis. She is survived by her children, Julieta and her husband Aaron, Erica and her husband Mario, Ingrid and her husband Ruben; grandchildren, Nicklaus, Julian, Elilyanna, Demitri, Elijah, Gabrielle, Mario, Alexa, and Dominic; and one great grandbaby, Kyle-Emiliano.
