Arlana Sue "Lana" Rhodes

Arlana "Lana" Sue Rhodes, 72, passed to her heavenly home on December 30, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Lana was a fun-loving devoted wife who loved the Colorado Mountains. She enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching the hummingbirds at her Colorado home. She enjoyed growing Milk Weed to feed the Monarch Butterflies on their Spring and Fall migrations through Oklahoma City. Lana was born on August 18, 1950, in Oklahoma City, OK to Ruth and Joe Hardy Shaddix. She grew up in Midwest City, where she attended Midwest City HS. Lana is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe Shaddix; and her sister, Debbie Taylor. Lana is survived by her husband, Philip Rhodes; son, Cory Wayne Allen; daughter, Heather Christian and her husband Mike Christian; two granddaughters, Mackenzie Christian and Addyson Christian; and her brother, Scott Shaddix.She loved her Church, Crossings Community Church and was very active in it. Lana will be missed by all with her quick wit, gentle demeanor and strong Christian Faith. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospital, Baptist Village Therapy Rehab and Concordia.Visitation for Lana will be on Monday, January 2nd at Smith & Kernke North May from 10am-7pm with family present from 5pm-7pm. Graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday, January 3rd at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, CO.
