Arthur Nicholas Wadleigh

Arthur Nicholas Wadleigh, 93, passed away on July 1, 2023. He was born in Boxford, Massachusetts, and attended Randolph Macon Academy and Virginia Military Institute. After schooling, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Biloxi Mississippi where he married his wife, Ann, of 67 years. In 1957, he began his career in the nascent computer industry, working for Remington Rand in Saint Paul, Minnesota. There he worked on the Univac, the first general purpose electronic digital computer. His career path followed the rising computer industry until he retired from Seagate Corporation in 1997. He is survived by his wife Ann, his brother Alden, his children, Margaret Wadleigh and Donal Wadleigh (Linda), his grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew (Jamie), Nicole (Michael), and John Richard (Jessica), and his great grandchildren, Avery, Nate and Payton. The family would like to express deep gratitude to Tarek and Ronny, for their compassionate care.
