Bertha Graciela Carlton

Bertha Carlton passed away July 9, 2026 in Newalla, OK. She was born December 1, 1933 in Peru, South America. She came to the United States in the early 1960’s and resided in Oklahoma City with her family. She applied for US Citizenship and passed; received her certificate on December 17, 1987.

Bertha loved her family. She had a deep faith in God. She was loved by everyone who got to know her. She loved knitting beautiful blankets for each of her family. She also loved to decorate her home inside and outside for each and every holiday.

Bertha is preceded in death by her husband, John Carlton, two daughters, Silvia Fenton & Patti Small, son-in-law, David Small & grandson son, Justin Small. 

Bertha is survived by her two Daughters, Cecilia 'CiCi' Monroe and husband, Ken, and Martha ‘Marti' Anderson, grandchildren Brandy Small, Shane Small and wife, Mandie Small, Brian Anderson & Clinton Anderson, including grandson, Shawn Ayarza, whom Bertha and John raised and loved as their own, and many great grandchildren. 

A private service will be held at Smith & Kernke 1401 NW 23rd Street, OKC, with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
