Billie Jo Mayes

Billie Jo Mayes was born on May 4,1926 in Ft Smith Arkansas but spent most of her childhood in Oklahoma City. She married the love of her life Willie Lee Mayes on May 4 , 1944, after they met while working for Borden's .They moved to Midwest City across from Tinker Air Force Base .She lived in that same house for 70 years. She joins her husband Willie and her mom and dad , Stella and Everett Gibson, and all of her siblings, Nola, Buddy, and Carolyn in death; where we can hope they are having a family reunion. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Beth Gates; grandson, Bob Holliman and his wife Ginger Simmons; stepdaughter; and granddaughter, Meridith Grogan and her husband Tim and Crystal Zerger and her husband David; great grandchildren, Matthew and Vivian. Along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Long time friend, John Kuzmicki that she regarded as a son and deserves special mention as well.Viewing from 9am-1pm on October 30,2021 at Smith & Kernke 23rd Street with Graveside Service and burial at Rose Hill Cemetery at 2pm.
