Bobby Wayne Sapp

Bobby Wayne Sapp was born January 19, 1935, in El Reno, Oklahoma, to Ruby and Jack Sapp. He was welcomed into Heaven on November 28, 2025. Bob lived a long life filled with wonderful times with his adoring family and many lifelong friends.

Bob spent his childhood and teen years in Leedey, Oklahoma. He enjoyed helping with Sapp Hardware, driving a rural gas route for his father’s Conoco Service Station, helping with wheat harvest and enjoying life in a small town. Bob was surrounded by loving grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. His family was very active at Leedey First Baptist Church and at a young age, Bob asked Jesus to be his Savior. He had a strong faith in Jesus all his life. He graduated as Valedictorian from Leedey High School and was off to Norman to pursue his college education. Bob graduated from OU School of Pharmacy and moved to Midwest City to work for Conrad Marr Drug Store. Shortly after his move, he met the love of his life, Joni Fincher, on a blind date. They were married on May 31,1958. All their life together, he affectionally called her “Angel”. After two deployments to Texas with the Army, they settled in northwest Oklahoma City to raise their family. Kelli was born in January of 1960 and Scott followed in November of 1964. They purchased Conrad Marr Drug on NW 50th and Meridian and started what became their family business.

Bob and Joni enjoyed life to the fullest! They travelled often with their children to their favorite spot- Grand Lake, Colorado. This was a place Bob had been visiting since childhood with his family.

Bob and Joni joined Kelham Baptist Church in 1960 and enjoyed years of worshiping and serving until health issues prevented them from attending. They were very involved at Kelham where they made lifelong friends. They enjoyed dear friends in their Sunday school class, hosting youth fellowships and many trips to Falls Creek over the years. Bob was an incredible father and grandfather. He was always very supportive and involved in his children and grandchildren’s lives. He always brought the fun with him!

Although we miss him terribly, we rejoice knowing there has been a glorious reunion in Heaven! He is reunited with his “Angel” and we are sure he is catching up with his best friend Ray, enjoying a cup of coffee and visiting for hours! We take comfort knowing we will see him again!

Bob is survived by his daughter Kelli and her husband Pat and his son Scott; grandchildren Mackenzi and Chance Nichols, Cooper and Hannah Metz, Corbin and Grace Metz and Alexis Sapp; and great grandchildren Goldie and Daisy Nichols and Charlie Metz.

Memorial service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Kelham Baptist Church, 3400 N. Meridian Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73112
