Brian Keith Turner, age 55 of Oklahoma City, died Sunday, May 15th, 2022. His death followed a 5 week, 24/7 beside vigil held by those he loved and loved him most as Brian fought pneumonia and subsequent complications.He was born June 14, 1966 to Gilland and Betty (Jones) Turner in Shawnee, OK. Brian graduated from Prague high school in 1984. Following high school, he became a manager for Consolidated Freightways. He also attended CSU majoring in Psychology. In his 30's, Brian eventually developed his own business specializing in personal training. In 2001, Brian met Dr. Brent Bell and they married in 2016 in Palm Springs, California. Brian had many interests and hobbies including countless hours at the gym, traveling, making new friends and spending time with his beloved dogs, Tucker and Tanner. He was also passionate about helping others. Brian was very active in Freedom Oklahoma as well as the Oklahoma Democratic Party to further rights of the disabled. Following the death of his father, Gilland in 1991, Brian's mother married Dr. Frank Howard. Brian was preceded in death by all three. He was also preceded in death by stepbrother, Mark Howard, and sister-in-law, Jessica Turner. He is survived by his husband, Dr. Brent Bell; brother, Brad Turner and wife, Robin; brother, Richard Turner; nephew, Zachary; niece, Molly; stepsisters, Susan Howard Brooks and Pam Howard Garrett. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Pat Martin; sister-in-law, Lisa Bell Haddad; niece, Zoe Haddad, as well as numerous extended family and friends. All who will miss him dearly.Brent would especially like to sincerely thank friends, Leo Schreck, Jay Baker, John Cresap, and Susan DeCordova for their help, support with Brian and love over these last five weeks.In honor of Brian's affinity for lateness, services to celebrate him will begin at 2:10 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2022 at the Smith & Kernke NW 23rd Street Chapel.
