Bryce Joel Lefebvre

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Bryce Joel Lefebvre, affectionately known as Brycie, who left this world suddenly in his sleep on April 26, 2026, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Born on April 27, 1995, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bryce’s life was a radiant beacon of love, laughter, and boundless energy that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Bryce was a man who embraced life with a passion that was both infectious and inspiring. From his early days at Washington Irving Elementary to his cherished time at Edmond North High School—where he was a member of the Edmond Husky Band and graduated with honors in 2013—and onward to his beloved University of Oklahoma, where he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a minor in Spanish, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA, Bryce’s journey was marked by unwavering dedication and an insatiable curiosity. As a proud member of the Edmond North Husky Band’s trumpet section and Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, he cultivated friendships and experiences that shaped his vibrant character.

Professionally, Bryce devoted nine remarkable years to ARL Bio Pharma as a Senior Microbiologist. His expertise and intellect were matched only by the warmth and levity he brought to the lab each day. He was treasured by his coworkers, earning the “Life of the Lab” superlative two years in a row—an honor that spoke to his ability to uplift spirits and make everyone feel seen and valued. Bryce’s commitment to his craft was evident in his participation in significant projects and initiatives, where his keen understanding and articulate communication shone.

But Bryce was so much more than his accomplishments. He was a light in every room, a constant source of joy and comfort. His love for music—spanning from the trumpet and classic rock to EDM and the vibrant festival community—was a spiritual connection that fueled his soul and brought others into a shared world of love and light. He was the life of every party, the master of contagious laughter, and the bearer of hugs that enveloped you with his entire heart. When Bryce spoke to you, you were the only person in existence; his listening was an act of pure empathy and genuine care.

Bryce’s personality was a rare gift. He was “Mr. Always In,” unwavering in his presence at every special event, endlessly curious, and gifted with a sharp wit that could rival any standup comedian. He carried the weight of the world on his shoulders quietly, always putting others before himself with a selflessness that inspired and comforted those navigating their own struggles.

He is deeply missed by his loving family: his mother Robyn Lee and stepfather Andrew Lee; father Blake Lefebvre; brother Jared Lefebvre; beloved Mema Sue Crandall, known affectionately as “my Brycie”; aunt Jeannette Klein and her husband Skip Klein; uncles Shaun Crandall and girlfriend Peggy-Becky Youmans; Richard Crandall; Bruce Lefebvre and his wife Kathy Lefebvre; nieces Kadence and Lucy-Mae Lefebvre along with their mother Courtney Lefebvre; cousins Stacy Lefebvre Ellis and her husband Gary Ellis, Michele Lefebvre, Leah Lefebvre, Kari Lefebvre, Baylor McCracken and cousin Vanessa Crandall, with whom he shared a lifetime of treasured memories. He was the Godfather to precious, Malcolm Wegener, whom he loved dearly. Bryce is also survived by his great aunt, other uncles, second cousins, and many friends and colleagues who loved him fiercely.

We remember with tenderness those dear family members who have preceded him in death: Joel Crandall (Opa), Helga Lefebvre (Oma), Joseph Lefebvre (Opa-Papa Joe), Blane Lefebvre (uncle), and Michael Patrylo (uncle).

Bryce’s special circle of friends, some who have journeyed with him since elementary school, meant the world to him. Friends were his universe, and he loved each one with his whole heart. His laughter, boundless love for life, and indelible friendships defined who he was and will forever illuminate the hearts of those he touched. His spirit will continue to shine, a light in the darkest tunnels and shade in the brightest days, an eternal comfort that never fades.

A celebration of Bryce’s life will be held on May 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Smith & Kernke Funeral Homes & Crematory - May Ave, 14624 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Gravesite burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery 1407 North Blvd. in Edmond, Oklahoma.

As we bid farewell to this extraordinary soul, we hold onto the words and song his mother would sing or say to him:

🎵 You are my sunshine, my only sunshine

You make me happy when skies are gray

You'll never know, dear, how much I love you

Please don't take my sunshine away 🎵

Forever in our hearts, Bryce, our precious boy, you are and always will be deeply loved. With endless love, Momma.
