Carol Ann Larson

Carol Larson, 85, passed away in Oklahoma City, OK on November 14, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 3, 1937, in Seattle, WA, to Arngrim and Bertha Anderson. When she was 13, she moved to San Diego, CA, where she graduated from Helix High School. In 1970, She married and moved to Oklahoma City where she had two sons, David and Eric. Carol was an incredible stay at home Mom who dedicated herself to caring for and raising her boys. She spent much of her time participating in the PTA, school fundraisers, volunteering with March of Dimes and throwing Tupperware and Avon parties; all the while somehow finding the time to attend the countless baseball games, soccer games, sports practices, school programs and piano recitals. When her boys were in middle school, she rejoined the workforce in the healthcare industry becoming the office manager for a thriving Medical Doctors office before transitioning to the Fundraising Foundation at Integris Health where she retired after 12 years. Carol loved to cook for her family, play bridge, volunteer with Mobile Meals and at Village United Methodist Church. She was an avid dog lover and almost always had a fur baby by her side. Carol was always on top of the weather (her favorite was Gary England) and we could always expect a call whenever anything significant was headed our way. She was a strong and dedicated Mother and Grandmother who gave everything she had to her boys and grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Arnette Scherl of La Mesa, CA; son, David of OKC; son, Eric and wife Kristin Larson of OKC; grandchildren, Kaeley (15), Jacob (21), Cooper (23), and Carter (21); cousin, Marilyn Enloe and husband Bob of Seattle, WA; great niece, Shawna Fuller Rodriguez of Houston, TX; very close friend, Marge Waters; and many other friends from her church family and neighbors on Huntleigh Dr. Special thanks go to the caregivers at Vitality Living Center, Suncrest Hospice and Emerald Hospice who all did a tremendous job of taking care of her during her final months. A Memorial service will be held Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2:00PM at Village United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Carol's memory to Calm Waters.
