Carol Suzanne Bodine

Carol Suzanne Bodine was reunited with her parents in heaven January 26, 2026. Carol was born November 17, 1986, in Oklahoma City to Thomas and Ann Bodine. She was the youngest of their three girls. With a head of blonde ringlets, she was the quintessential youngest child. A daddy’s girl, even from a young age it was always apparent how empathetic and sweet Carol was. She excelled in school in every aspect - as a straight A student, a competitive basketball player, and the president of every student government organization she could find, both local and statewide. A die hard Sooner fan, she attended the University of Oklahoma where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science despite having been hospitalized for most of her senior year. Carol had health problems but would not allow them to define her. She handled crippling pain and endless hospital stays with a grace and strength never before seen. She idolized her sisters and fiercely loved her family - especially her niece and nephews. If you knew Carol, Carol was your biggest cheerleader - on the grandest scale. Her ability to give the most thoughtful, grandiose gifts and host the most incredible birthday parties was unmatched. Carol had endless reasons to feel sorry for herself but instead focused on how blessed she was to have such an incredible family and a handful of close friends. Carol loved big. Those who had the privilege of being loved by Carol are forever changed for the better.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Carol Bodine; maternal grandparents, Maurice and Ann Thompson; great-aunt Jane Ratliff; aunt Dorothy Miller, uncle Leo Bodine; and second cousin Steven Ratliff. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Martin, her husband Adrian, and their son, Oliver; sister, Elizabeth Montgomery, her husband Jon, and their children, Kaesen and Bodhi; uncle and aunt Doug and Cindy Thompson; uncle Jim Miller; great-aunt Mary Jane Thompson; cousin, Mackenzie Ahlers, her husband Jon, and their daughter Annie; cousin, Dylan Thompson, his wife Isabelle, and their son, Day; cousin, Julie Miller; cousin Laura Kaul, her husband Ty; and their children, Dylan and Bailey; second cousin, Amanda Cleveland and her husband Shawn; and a multitude of extended family and friends.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 9am – 6pm and the family will greet friends from 4pm – 6pm at Smith & Kernke on N. May Ave. The funeral, to celebrate Carol, will be held at 11:00am Thursday, February 5 at NewChurch, 9201 N. Rockwell Ave. Burial will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
