Carol Jo Brown

Carol Jo Brown, 89, passed away on September 13, 2026, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born on November 23, 1936, in Bakersfield, California, to Mathew and Viola Williams.

Carol lived a life centered around her faith, family, and the things she loved. She was a lifetime member of the Assembly of God Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life. She also enjoyed painting and found joy in expressing herself through art.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Mathew and Viola Williams; her brother, Gene Williams; and her sister, Helen Bearden.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Maitland Raymond Brown; her sister, Geraldine Williams; her sons, Ronald (Kay) Brown, and Stanley (Tracy) Brown; her grandchildren, Matthew (Lyndsey) Brown; Kristi (Bill) Adams; Brittney (Justin) McClelland; and Catherine (Kody) Fairfield; and her great grandchildren, Cutter, Peyton, MacKenzie, Kade, Gunnar, Caris and Cadence.

She will be remembered for her faith, her love of family, her creativity, and the many memories she shared with those who loved her. Her life touched the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed.
