Carolyn Grosche passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2022 while gardening. She was born to Frank and Delphine Malkowicz on May 3, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. She grew up in North St. Louis and attended De Andreis High School. After high school, she worked for the USAF Chart Plant. Through a friend, she joined the St. Pius X Young Adult Club and met Marvin Grosche. Marv and Carolyn were married on October 15, 1966, which began a 55-year marriage. Relocation took them to Nashville, TN where their daughters, Diane and Cathy, were born. The Grosches moved to Oklahoma City in 1974 where they joined St. Eugene Catholic Church and have been active members ever since. Carolyn's involvement in her girls' school activities included Girl Scouts, homeroom Mom, field trips, sports, and endless dance performances. She was active in the parish with St. Theresa Guild, St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Altar Society, bowling league and volunteered at the church office. Carolyn had a passion for art and proudly earned a degree at Central State University (UCO) in Graphic Design in 1988. Her love of travel took her around the world with Marv and the girls to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and all throughout Europe. In her later years, she grew to enjoy gardening and spent countless hours beautifying their yard. She looked forward to Bunco, Red Hats Society, Glenhurst Dinner Club, and spending time with friends. She was devoted to her family, her friends, and her church, and will be dearly missed.Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Debbie Malkowicz. She is survived by her husband Marvin Grosche, daughters Diane Grosche and Cathy Grosche, all of Oklahoma City; and brother James (Jim) Malkowicz, nephew Tom Malkowicz and wife JoLee, their son Louis James, and nephew Mark Malkowicz, all of the Greater St. Louis area.Wake and Prayer service will be held at Smith & Kernke, 14624 N. May Ave. OKC, OK 73134 on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 6:00pm. Funeral Mass will be at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 2400 W. Hefner Rd. OKC, OK 73120 on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carolyn's name to St. Eugene Catholic Church.
