M. Clyde Faulkner passed away on April 30, 2026, in Oklahoma City. Clyde was born on May 6th, 1944, to Marvin and Geraldine Adcock Faulkner, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Jim Faulkner. He is survived by his wife, GiGi Faulkner, his sons, Trevor Hayes and Levi Custer, and his nephew, Jason Faulkner.

Clyde grew up in and around Dewey, Oklahoma. He graduated from Dewey High School in 1962. He attended Northeastern Oklahoma Junior College for two years, then attended Oklahoma University, graduating in 1967 . Upon graduation, he was accepted to Oklahoma University of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1971. He served in the Air National Guard from 1971-1972. Clyde practiced law in Oklahoma City until his retirement in 2014.

A self-made man, Clyde supported himself from an early age. He put himself through college and law school by working summers as a book salesman for The Southwestern Company. He was promoted to a manager of a group of salesmen in a territory that included Mississippi and Alabama.

He was a member of Church of the Servant for many years, serving as a leader for an active singles group. He was an active member of Northwest Rotary. It was at a Sunday morning church service that he met his wife of 38 years, GiGi Garner Hayes. Clyde and GiGi were married on August 13, 1988. His life was filled with family, long-time friends, civic endeavors, boating, golf, and all OU sports, particularly Sooner football. And then came granddaughters, who were the apples of his eye and brought him great joy. Clyde’s grace and wisdom will be missed. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
