Dan Lee Kramer

Dan Lee Kramer, longtime resident of Oklahoma City, passed away May 19, 2023, at his home. He was born September 22, 1949, in Tulsa, the son of Jim and Freda Kramer. He came with his family to Oklahoma City at a young age and graduated from Northwest Classen High School. He worked at AT&T, as a lumberjack and as a car salesman before joining the insurance industry. Dan worked as an agent for Farmers Insurance Company for many years until becoming an independent agent with Glenn Harris and Associates. Dan was an avid fan of everything OU and tailgating, playing golf and going to the casino every Sunday.He is survived by two children, Kevin Kramer and wife Traci, and Dr. Danielle Kramer-Smotherman and husband Ryan; five grandchildren, Payton, Alex, Aiden and Kale Kramer, and Finley Smotherman; and the love of his life of 33 years, Cathy Rahill; as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Fred.A celebration of Dan's life will be Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel. The family encourages everyone to wear OU attire to his celebration.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
