Dan Lee Wooliver

Dan Wooliver was born on October 5, 1954 to Bob and Patricia (Mannan) Wooliver. He passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, with his loving wife by his side. Dan received an associate degree in Electronic Engineering from OSU in 1974 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1995. His goal was to provide his students with a quality education in an environment conducive to learning. He successfully achieved this goal through teaching within a variety of schools in the Oklahoma City school district and retired from teaching in 2012.Dan was a very kind, caring, and compassionate man. He was friendly and very personable. I could honestly say he never met a stranger as he was always interested in talking and sharing ideas with others. Dan's family and friends have fond memories of his lighthearted disposition and great sense of humor. In July 1972, Dan met the love of his life, Sherry Upton; whom he later married, and they enjoyed 50 glorious years together. Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Mannan; father, Bob Wooliver; and brother, Chris Haley. Survivors include his brother, Michael Czykun and his wife Andrea of Colorado, along with several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.Dan was passionate about many things with an interest in amateur astronomy and he received his general aviation pilot's license in May of 2008. He and his wife shared many, many hours of flying together across the U.S. as well as with other wonderful flying friends. Dan will truly be missed. As an option to sending flowers, please feel free to send donations which he has supported for numerous years to the Siddhartha School Partnership at https://siddharthaschool.org
