Dawn Marie Frankfurt

The Reverand Dawn Frankfurt born March 2, 1966, in Syracuse, NY to William and Kristin (Reeves) Frankfurt passed away on November 25, 2025, surrounded by family. Dawn grew up in Oklahoma City and Edmond, OK. Dawn graduated from Edmond Memorial High School, The University of Oklahoma, and The Berkeley Divinity School at Yale University. Dawn served churches in her ministry from the beginning of her career with Epiphany Episcopal Church in Honolulu, HI and then Trinity Episcopal Church in Staunton, VA. Leading congregations in Ardmore, OK and Ducan, OK, as well. Mother Dawn lovingly served as Rector to St. James Episcopal Church, Wichita, KS for nearly fifteen years.

Dawn is survived by her parents Bill and Kris Frankfurt, siblings Michelle (Frankfurt) Levin and her children Jacob and Quinn Levin, Will Frankfurt and his children Willie and Sophie Frankfurt. Her Uncle Ed and wife Allie Frankfurt, their children Shaun and Kathryn Frankfurt, Mitch and Kelly Frankfurt, Mike and Maria (Frankfurt) Reynolds, Fred and Tracy (Frankfurt) Bidwell, and her late Aunt Martha Forster’s children Cassie Petty, Bill and Nancy Forster, and Brad Forster. The outpouring of love from the multitude of lives she touched has been tremendous. The family is appreciative and grateful for the support, care, and prayers provided during this difficult time.

Dawn’s service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 4, 2025, at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 4400 North Shartel, Oklahoma City, 73118. In lieu of flowers the family requests that gifts be made to The St. James Perpetual Memorial and Endowment Fund at St. James Episcopal Church 3750 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67208.
