Delores C. Noble

Delores “De” Concetta Noble, 89, of Oklahoma City, passed peacefully into God's care on July 23, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

Born on April 10, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Joseph Francis and Mary Elizabeth Halleck, De grew up as the spirited middle child of three. She attended St. Dominic Parochial School, and even as a young girl her talents shone brightly. Around age 10 or 11, she recorded a piano piece that was broadcast on the radio—an accomplishment she cherished throughout her life. She graduated from South High School in 1955, developing a lifelong appreciation for Spanish, English, and learning in general.

After moving to Oklahoma City, De began a successful career in banking. She was especially proud of earning a promotion to work with Fed Funds—the only person in the bank entrusted with that responsibility. Later, she worked alongside her daughter Katrina at the Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled, a time she remembered with joy.

De poured her heart into raising her daughters, celebrating their individuality and accomplishments. She was gifted in sewing, flower arranging, and creating beauty wherever she went. Her greatest devotion, however, was to her faith. As an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church, she shared her love for Jesus with everyone she met. She taught her children to place everything in God’s hands, trusting that He would guide them through every challenge.

She is survived by her sister, Marian Halleck; her five daughters: Gerine Concetta Coombs, Delores Louise Stoops (Wade), Dawnata Elizabeth Hopkins (Ken), Justine Marie Dowell (Jim), and Katrina Eileen Noble; ten grandchildren: Jason, Bryant, Eric, Jennifer, Kara, Miranda, Briana, Daniel, Hannah, and Harrison; and seventeen great‑grandchildren: Caden, Averie, Logan, Jackson, Lincoln, Liam, Colton, Lakeyn, Andrew, Colleen, Levi, Aaron, Honesty, Benjamin, Oliver, Ivan, and Jack.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Halleck; her sister, Regina Musser; and her great‑grandchildren, Ryder Coombs and Raelynn Coombs.

De lived with purpose and positivity, often reminding those around her, “Think positively… but think!” Her life was marked by perseverance, gratitude, and a deep commitment to spiritual growth. She remained active in her church, worked part‑time at DHS, and continued learning, creating, and praying throughout her life.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 27, 2026, from 4–6 p.m., with a prayer service to follow at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City. Her funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8005 Dorset Dr., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Lawrence Ministry (food closet) at Christ the King Catholic Church in loving memory of Delores C. Noble.
