Dennis James Owens

Dennis passed away peacefully on Jan 13, 2026, in Oklahoma City at the age of 66. He was the youngest son of the eight children born to Wildean Owens and Clark Owens, and was born on May 16, 1959, in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Western Heights High School and attended classes at the University of Oklahoma. He met and married his beloved wife, Nancy S. Owens, in 1997.

Dennis was a 3rd-generation Master Carpenter and won honors in school for his excellence in this craft. He was much sought-after in his field and leaves behind beautiful testaments to his artisanship. He excelled in all woodworking and loved his work.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Sharon and Teresa; and three brothers: Gary, Ernie and Val. He is survived by two sisters: Beth Owens and Dianna Epely. Dennis is also survived by his wife, Nancy, and son, William.

Dennis was a one-of-a-kind true gentleman and artist with a courageous spirit. He gave unceasingly his energies to the well-being of those around him. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at Mayflower Congregational Church, 3901 N.W. 63rd, Oklahoma City on January 24th, at 2:00pm.
