Eddie L. Howard

In the early morning hours of April 25, Ed went to be with the Lord after a long and well-fought battle with declining health. Ed was one of seven children born to Buck and Ruth Howard of Hollis, Oklahoma. After high school, Ed joined the Navy where he saw two fierce tours of duty in Vietnam. Ed graduated from Southwestern University and entered a career in accounting in the oil and gas industry.

On December 19, 1984, Ed met Beverly on a blind date. Beverly became the love of Ed’s life. After eleven years together, they married and he helped raise her two sons, Justin and Andrew.

Ed was preceded in death by his father, mother, four brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife Beverly, sister Barbra, sons Justin and Andrew, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ed always had a joke at the ready to share with friends and a smile to share with all. Rest in peace dear soul.

A service to celebrate Ed’s life will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 1pm at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel.
