Frank D. Lackey

Frank D. Lackey passed away February 3, 2023, in Oklahoma City. He was born October 21, 1936, in Oklahoma City, the youngest child of 13 born to Jay and Etta Lackey.Frank graduated from John Marshall High School in 1954 and earned a bachelor's degree in education from Central State University in 1958. He started his business, Novak & Lackey Construction Co. Inc. on February 13, 1975. It was a commercial general contracting company. In May of 1997, he sold the company to Specialty Teleconstructors, Inc.He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. He served on the Board of Directors of Will Rogers Bank for eight years and on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Associated General Contractors. Frank served as president and "Cosmopolitan of the Year" for the Downtown Cosmopolitan Club in 1978.He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jody; two children, Dedee Henderson and Jay Lackey; grandchildren, Connor and Alex Henderson and Ava Lackey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Etta Lackey and 12 siblings.Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 10 am – 8 pm followed by the funeral service Friday at 2 pm at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
