Gerald "Jerry" Prilliman

Gerald "Jerry" W. Prilliman was called home by his Heavenly Father on January 28, 2022. He passed peacefully in his own home surrounded by loved ones. Son of Lola and Otto Prilliman, husband of Helen, father of Stephen (Jennifer) and Robert (Cheryl), grandfather of Amy (Brad), April, Jude and Eloise. Great-grandfather of Destanie, Felicité, Cael, Joshua, Evan and Lily and uncle of Renee. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lois, her husband Don, nieces Candance and Jeanne and granddaughter April.Jerry was born on the family farm near Viola, KS and his formative years were spent helping his grandfather around the farm. He graduated from Conway Springs H.S in 1952 and Friends University in 1957. He played basketball in high school and college and remained a fan of the game his entire life. After a move to Oklahoma City he met and married Helen and started a family as well as a garden of his own. He grew the most flavorful fruit and vegetables. He worked at University Hospital and the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Jerry was a kind, gentle and humble man, admirable traits for his family to follow. The family wishes to thank the hospice workers, especially Shelley, who helped us in our home with Jerry.Visitation at Smith-Kernke, 1401 NW 23rd St., OKC, Sunday, 2/6 from 2-5pm. Funeral service Monday, 2/7 at 11 am at Resurrection Cemetery Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel, 7801 NW Expressway. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to Children's Center Rehab Hospital (Bethany) or Rosary School, Fr. Schettler Endowment fund.
