Gill Penland

Gill Lawrence Penland went to heaven in the early morning hours of March, 7 2023. Born to Alma and Glen Penland October 7, 1954, and married Margaret (Peggy) on March 12, 1982, and lived in Yukon, OK.Gill had 40, almost 41 years of marriage with the love of his life, Peggy. He worked in the construction industry for 20 years before opening his own company GP Acoustics in 1997. He operated the business till he retired in 2007. He loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren. There wasn't anything that papa wouldn't do for his grandkids. He always had a special place in his heart for his dogs, especially Homer. Gill is preceded in death by his mother, Alma Penland, his father, Glen Penland, and brother, Gary Penland. He is survived by his wife Peggy Penland, his daughter Christy Self and husband Ricky, son Mathew Penland and wife Shaina. His sister Teresa Hartline and husband Steve. He is also survived by his six loving grandchildren Justin, Jaina, Megan, Lexi, Grace, and Lily. And many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.Dad requested that everyone come dressed as they are. No need to dress up for him because he wasn't a dress up kinda guy.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Oklahoma Heart Hospital or Colletta. Want to give a special thank you to all the nurses at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital for their extraordinary care during this time. And a big thank you to them for allowing peanut to come say goodbye.
