Gregory James AhrensMarch 31, 1960 Lackawanna, NY to September 3, 2019 Oklahoma City, OKGreg was welcomed into the lives of his parents Howard and Jane Ahrens who have predeceased him.Greg spent time living in Minnesota and Illinois before moving to Oklahoma City during his middle school years. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1978 and has maintained friendships with many from that time in his life. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University where he earned a Bachelors degree in Marketing. He married the love of his life, Kathy in 1987 and soon after, they moved to NY where he began his career in pharmaceutical sales. After several years there, they returned to Oklahoma City and together they raised two wonderful sons, Taylor and Connor.He coached them through little league baseball and football with others who have become long-time, dear friends. He was their biggest fan when no longer their coach.He spent most of his career in pharmaceutical sales where he seemed to be a natural. Greg had a large personality, with the ability to build quick relationships with people he met.He had a quick wit and an easy laugh. He enjoyed golf, boating, listening to great music and living life to the fullest. He worked hard and played hard.Funeral Mass is September 9th at Epiphany of The Lord Catholic Church 7336 W Britton Rd OKC, OK at 3:00pm where he was a minister to the altar, catechist and Alpha team member, with burial at the family plot in NY at a later time. He knew and loved our Lord Jesus. Greg touched the lives of so many who will miss him dearly.In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the donor's favorite charity in Greg's name, or contributions to the Alpha Team at Epiphany of The Lord Catholic Church.
