Harvey Lee Sistrunk

Harvey Lee Sistrunk passed away on October 27, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.He was born on May 11, 1951 in Hale Center, Texas to Hughley and Clara Sistrunk. Harvey graduated from Texhoma High School in 1970. He has worked as a farmer, a diesel mechanic, and also a trunk driver throughout his life. He recently moved from Liberal, Kansas to Oklahoma City four years ago and was proud to be a Cherokee Tribal Citizen. Some of Harvey's favorite things to do were fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, especially on Thanksgiving.Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sharlene Ford; and two brothers, Bill and Jerry Sistrunk. He is survived by his daughter, Loreanne Cowan; grandchildren, Taylor Jones, Angel Martinez, Natalie Martinez, and Tanner Cowan; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Sistrunk and Geneva Sistrunk; and brothers, Sonny and Ricky Sistrunk. A memorial service to celebrate Harvey's life will be held at 3pm Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Smith & Kernke North May Chapel.
