Ida Lee McCoy

Ida Lee McCoy was born on December 5, 1935, to Vivian Pauline Britton and John Spence Daniel. She lived her entire life in Oklahoma City, where she built a home filled with faith, family, and love.

Ida was the youngest of five children. In July 1953, she was united in marriage to James Harold McCoy, and they shared their lives together until his passing in September 1978. After Jim suffered an unexplained back ailment that left him paraplegic, Ida went to work for her brother, Bryon Daniel, at his sign shop, demonstrating her strength, resilience, and devotion to family. She later retired from State Farm Insurance.

Ida was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Green and Dru Ross and her husband Brian Ross; her grandsons Jacob, Zachary, Daniel, and Christian; and her beloved granddaughter Ciara. She also leaves behind her great‑grandchildren Miles, Gracie, Claire, Anna, Lynley, Caroline, Jack, Mylah, Marlie, and Mariah. In addition to her husband Jim, and her parents; her son, Danny, preceded her in death in September 2009.

Through every season of her life, Ida remained strong and unwavering in her faith and trust in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully in her home of over 60 years on March 17, 2026.
