Jade Alexandria Gamez, born on February 26, 2004, in Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away on September 9, 2023, in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was known for her bright spirit and kind heart.

Jade's journey began in Hobart before moving to Edmond with her family in 2016. She flourished academically and graduated from Edmond North High School with a remarkable 4.0 GPA. Determined to expand her horizons, she enrolled at the University of Oklahoma for a semester before deciding to take a gap year to gain work experience and re-enroll in the following spring.

She will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Jade is survived by her mother Sarah Garcia; father Randy Gamez; stepfather Javier Garcia; sister Gabrielle Gamez; brother Bentley Gamez; stepbrother Adrian Garcia; sister Brooklyn Gamez; grandmother Mary Smith; step-grandfather Keith Smith; grandfather Vince and Julie Barnes; grandmother Rosa Gamez; great grandmother Laura Rudkins; Matthew and Emillee Barnes and their children; Nathan Barnes and his son; Kyle and Marissa Brownlee and their children; Tori and Andrew Barnes and their daughter. Additionally, she is survived by Blaine Lopez, Lena Stubbs, Albert Gamez Jr., Ayden Hester, Remington Hester, Natalie Gamez, Emily Gamez, and River Gamez.

The loss of Jade Gamez leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. She will forever be remembered as a shining light, and her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.

Jade's memorial service will be held on September 15, 2023, at May Ave - Smith & Kernke Funeral Homes & Crematory located at 14624 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73134. The service will begin at 2:00 PM.
