Jaynee Tayar Silvernail

Jaynee Tayar Silvernail, a beautiful, loving, and petite woman with a firm will and a strong work ethic, left this earthly world to join her husband on October 28, 2025. Born in Oklahoma City, OK, on May 13, 1947, Jaynee was the beloved only daughter of Kenneth and Lola May Tayar. Her life was marked by an unwavering commitment to God, family, friends, and hard work.

Jaynee had a large, close-knit extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Her deep dedication to family was shaped by these caring and loving people. She spent much of her childhood with her Sitie, where she learned old-world values and some of the very best Lebanese recipes. Jaynee’s home was always full of food, happiness, and above all love. No one ever left her house hungry.

At the age of 14, Jaynee met the love of her life, Bill Silvernail, when he and his friend Don Winslow crashed a party at her house — much to her father’s disapproval. Their union began soon after and lasted nearly 60 years, until Bill’s passing in November 2024.

Jaynee graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1965. She was a beautiful and talented baton twirler who lead the marching band. Her talent and hard work won her many awards plus a job offer in New York City. This she turned down to marry her beloved husband, and together they raised two sons, Jay and Greg.

In 1972, Jaynee and Bill opened the family business they would proudly operate together for the next 50 years. Jaynee and Bill worked day in and day out together. That is something not many people can do. In 1976, the family moved from Oklahoma City to Cashion, Oklahoma, all the while still operating their family business.

Jaynee was a pleasure to visit with and truly cared about people. She formed lasting friendships and maintained close bonds with those fortunate enough to know her. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and friend.

Jaynee was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her sons: Jay and Greg, grandchildren, Tanner, Nick, Preston, Sophia, and Alexandria and her great-grandchildren: Penelope, Lorelei, and Margot.

Jaynee’s family and friends will forever miss her guidance, kind spirit, unwavering love, support and amazing meals.
