Jimmie Rae Smith

On Saturday, March 5th, 2022, Jimmie Rae Smith, loving sister and mother of one, passed away at the age of 56.Jimmie was born June 29, 1965, in Edmond to Wanda (Kellner) McCreary and James Smith. She graduated from Crescent high school and went to the University of Central Oklahoma as a music major. She married David Miller and had a daughter, Elizabeth Miller, before divorcing. Jimmie raised her daughter with the help of her family. She loved to read and spend time with family. She enjoyed listening and preforming music. She worked as cafeteria manager for Edmond public schools before a car accident disabled her from going back to work. Jimmie was known for her wit, wisdom, compassion, and humor. Jimmie was preceded in death by her father, James Smith, and her stepfather Larkin McCreary. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Miller, her brother William Smith and his wife Kortney Smith, and her mother Wanda McCreary and several other family members.Visitation will be Friday March 11, 2022, at the church from 9:00 AM to 10:00AM. The funeral service will follow and begin at 10:30AM also at Saint Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church on 15000 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73134.
