Jo Lavern Lackey

Jo LaVern Lackey went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 13, 1938, in Pauls Valley, OK to Pete and Charline Holt. Soon after the family moved to Lindsay where she attended school and graduated from Lindsay High School class of '56. She worked for ONG and met her future husband, Frank. They were married on May 16, 1966, for 57 years until his death. Jody found a passion running the "Yarn Boutique" while raising her two young children Jay and Dedee. Later she managed "The Carousel" a gift and home décor boutique. Jody was a devoted wife and mother to her children and grandchildren throughout her adult life. Jody and Frank enjoyed a shared passion for traveling to exotic locations and ultimately settled on the Coast of Oregon for over 20 years. Jody was preceded in death by her loving husband Franklin Lackey, her parents Pete "Papa" Holt and Charline Holt. She is survived by both of her children Dedee Henderson and Jay Lackey; grandchildren, Connor and Alex Henderson and Ava Lackey; brother Charles Holt and sister Barbara Coffman. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, March 6, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
