Joe Hutchison

Clarence “Joe” Hutchison, 69, died July 7, 2025. Joe was born September 4, 1955, in Stillwater, OK to Godfrey Ross Hutchison and Teresa Rita Hutchison (Hogan). He graduated from Del City High School, where he was president of his senior class. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma as well as an MBA from Oklahoma City University. At the age of 54, Joe fulfilled his lifelong dream of earning his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University.

On December 27, 1996, Joe married his wife of nearly 29 years, Petra Hinojosa. Together, they had two children, Maura and Joey, who were his pride and joy along with his oldest daughter, Candice.

Joe retired from the State of Oklahoma where he worked in the Office of Management and Enterprise Services. He was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church. Joe was a gifted guitar player and enjoyed getting together with friends to play. He rarely missed an OU football game, the only sport and team he really cared about. Most of all, he wanted to spend time with his family. They will forever remember his crazy antics.

Joe was preceded in death by his father and mother and his brother, Michael Hutchison. He is survived by his wife, Petra, his children, Candice, Maura, and Joey, and his brother, Bill Hutchison.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 16th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. (CT) at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 2400 W. Hefner, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Catholic School of St. Eugene, 2400 W. Hefner Road, Oklahoma City, OK, 73120.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
