John Kirk Bixby

John Kirk Bixby, age 77, passed away at his home in Oklahoma City on February 22, 2022. He was born in Dallas, Texas on November 20, 1944, to Glen Seeb and Ella (Bullard) Bixby. He attended school at Sunset High School in Oak Cliff, Texas. Later, he went on to study business management at Oklahoma Christian College. In 1966, he enlisted in the United States Army and earned the Bronze Star while serving his country in the Vietnam War. He spent much of his business career in sales with the Culligan Water Company of Dallas. During his long tenure, he was the recipient of the President's Club and Director's Club awards. He also served as a member of the Dallas Executive Association. Throughout his life, John was an active member of the Church of Christ. He had a deep passion for sailing, gardening, and woodworking. In his spare time, he enjoyed creating one of a kind wooden bowls and vases. Several of which were displayed in local fairs and art exhibits. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend who will be dearly missed. His optimism and generosity will live in our hearts forever.John is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Katie (Widdifield) Bixby; daughter, Emily Bandaries and husband Nathan; son, Thomas Bixby and wife Molly; son, Glen Bixby and wife Rhonda; daughter, Mekay Bixby; stepchildren, Darryle Caldwell, Tammy Caldwell, and Kenneth Caldwell; along with seven grandchildren and numerous other family members.
