Joseph Keatinge McIntosh, 74, passed away on October 19, 2026. Born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Joe spent most of his life in Oklahoma City, where he built a career, raised his family, and made countless memories with those he loved.
To know Joe was to know someone who never met a stranger. Outgoing, warm, and genuinely interested in others, he had a way of making anyone feel like an old friend. He was fiercely loyal, endlessly loving, and always willing to do anything for the people he cared about.
Nothing mattered more to Joe than his family. Of all the titles he held, none meant more to him than Dad and Poppy. His wife, children and grandchildren were the center of his world, and anyone who knew Joe knew just how much he adored them. He loved his family wholeheartedly and made sure they knew it.
An avid outdoorsman, Joe found happiness hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and spending time in the mountains with family and friends. One of his favorite memories was an elk hunting trip in New Mexico with his closest friends and harvested his first elk. Joe was also an accomplished marathon runner, completing the Chicago Marathon, the New York City Marathon, and the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon four times.
Joe enjoyed a successful career spanning more than 30 years in pharmaceutical sales. He took particular pride in leading and mentoring others as a manager, building lasting relationships along the way.
Some of Joe's happiest moments were spent alongside his children and hunting with his lifelong friends. A well-timed quote from Forrest Gump or Christmas Vacation was almost guaranteed to get him laughing. His humor, infectious personality, and love for people made him someone everyone enjoyed being around.
Above all, Joe was a man of faith. His relationship with God shaped the way he lived and loved others. He spent many years teaching his children’s Sunday school classes, sharing the faith and values he held dear.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Kelly; children Haley, Allie, and John; stepson Clark; siblings Cheryl, Dorsey, and Jay; Sisters in law Renee and Robin; son-in-law David; daughters-in-law Tiarra, Lyvia, and Paige. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a devoted Poppy to Ellie, Hattie, Annabelle, Hollis, Ralph, Hugh, and Betsy, with grandson Brooks McIntosh on the way, carrying his grandfather's name and legacy into the next generation.
Joe understood that a life well lived wasn't measured by what you accumulated, but by the people you loved and the memories you made along the way.
And by that measure, Joe lived an extraordinary life.
He will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and forever remembered.
