Karen Jean Wallace

Karen Jean Wallace (Cole), age 65, passed away holding her husband's hand in the comfort of her own home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Friday, December 03, 2021 after her courageous battle with cancer.Karen was born on April 10, 1956 to Thurmon and Laverne Cole. Karen was one of 5 Children. Her childhood home was located in Newcastle Oklahoma. Karen was always such a sweet soul and knew no stranger. She could talk for hours and had a way about her that was very intriguing and would grasp your attention. She loved to cook and was great at it. She loved gardening and landscape design. She was a major movie buff and one of her favorite things to do was get on some comfy clothes, get under a cozy blanket and watch movies. Karen was a wonderful mother to 7 children, which she loved with a fierceness. Karen was happily married to Walter Wallace for going on 23 years at the time of her passing. Karen is survived by her husband, Walter Wallace, her children; Aaron Holt, Angela Urwin, Ashley Haynie, Adam Haynie, April Haynie, and Aftin Wallace, her siblings; Brenda Johnson, Mark Cole, Tim Cole, Suzanne Fitzwater, 25 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous others.Karen is preceded in death by her parents; Thurmon and Laverne Cole and her daughter, Amber Scott. Karen life was nothing less than extraordinary. She was very family oriented and had a type of love and passion that is rare to come across. Karen was such a precious jewel that will always be cherished and miss by many."She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future" -Proverbs 31:25"Some of us look relentlessly; we seek but never can seem to find. Some of us search all our lives; but never discover the ties that bind. Could it be we search too hard? Could it really be that simple? Could it be the complexity of life is as simple as a needle is to a thimble. Therefore we fear to doubt the simplicity of the truth because of the pain we may encounter. Constantly we seek one of life's many highs, Only to be left with an empty cup filled with downers. We are the pushers and ponderers and procrastinators of affections we carry our shield inside continuously on guard from life's deceptions. We display ourselves according so that we can't be ripped apart we rarely take the time to stop and peer through the window of our souls to understand that the human natures man kind were merrily keepers of the heart."
