Kathleen Spurgeon

Kathleen (Simmons) Spurgeon ("Kathy") left this earthly realm to join her heavenly family at the age of 74 on March 11, 2022, with her son and daughter at her side. Kathy will be remembered as a faithful, selfless woman, and a diligent Prayer Warrior for many. What brought her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Doris June Birch, and her father and stepmother, Lloyd F. and Juana B. Simmons. She is survived by her son, Rick Spurgeon (wife, Gina) and her daughter, Laura Meier (husband, Phillip); her grandchildren, Tyler and Zachary Gibson and Laila and Evelyn Meier; brothers, Larry Simmons (wife, Sharon) and Mark Simmons; sisters, Lucille Martinez (husband, Oscar) and Rose Huss (husband, Dave); numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
