Kathleen Marie Yandell

 Kathleen “Kathy” Marie Yandell passed away in her home surrounded by her husband and children on May 17, 2024. The Daughter of James “Jim” Sexton and Catherine “Kay” Sexton was born on June 11, 1963 in Bronx, New York City, New York. She lived in Jersey City, New Jersey, London, England, and San Juan, Puerto where she graduated from Robinson High School. She was a very successful competitive swimmer throughout highschool and then went on to attend Swarthmore College and swam for them as well, earning an All-American award in 1984. Kathy earned her B.A. in Psychology from Swarthmore in 1985. After which she moved to Oklahoma City. In Oklahoma City, Kathy met Chris Yandell, marrying in October of the year 1990. They had two children, James “Jimmy” Yandell (28) and Mary Catherine Yandell (24). Kathy will be remembered for her commitment to her family and the care and love she showed to all who met her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Kay; her father, Jim; her grandmother Hazel; and Grandfather James. Survivors include her husband, Chris; two children, Jimmy and Mary; brother, James “Buddy” Sexton and his three children Andrew, Jillian, and Nicholas Sexton. Her service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 24 at Christ the King, 8005 Dorset Drive, OKC, Ok.
