Born July 24, 1930, in Beaver Falls, PA hospital, the first of two sons of Kenneth B and Margaret E Coughlin, Kenneth B Jr lived in Aliquippa, Pa for his first few years. His father moved the family to Youngstown, Ohio in 1934 where Kenneth Jr started and completed his elementary education at St Brendan's parochial school. Moved again by his father to Alhambra, Ca in 1944, Kenneth Jr completed only one year of high school before the family again moving this time to Midland, Texas, where Kenneth Jr finished high school graduating in 1948. After 1 1/2 years at Texas Technological College in Lubbock, Texas, Kenneth Jr joined the USAF and was accepted as an Aviation Cadet. Finishing flight school at Laredo AFB in 1952, he was awarded his wings and a commission as a second lieutenant. Kenneth Jr's 20-year Air Force career sent him to a number of different places, such as Las Vegas, NV; Edinburgh, Scotland; Iraklion, Crete; Brindisi, Italy; Shemya, AK and several other foreign countries. In December,1965 he married Honor Monica McCue in Detroit, Michigan. After meeting her in Scotland during his first overseas assignment. The marriage produced one child, a son Sean Patrick in July 1970. Honor passed away from breast cancer on January 5, 1987. Upon retirement from the USAF on April 1, 1971, Kenneth Jr was employed as an insurance and mutual funds field agent by the United Services Planning Assoc, Ft Worth, Tx. This second career lasted 27 years and took him from his Oklahoma City home to Maryland and finally back to Ft Worth, TX where he retired as the Director of Investment Services in 1997. Following this second retirement, Kenneth returned to Oklahoma City where he continued his favorite past time: flying and maintaining his own aircraft that he had purchased in 1965.
Kenneth Jr. passed away on August 6, 2025. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery following a Mass of Christian Burial at the Chapel at the cemetery.
