Kenneth Lee Dekker, 80, died November 3, 2022, in Oklahoma City, OK, among loving family.Ken was born December 30, 1941, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Georgana Swenson Dekker and Peter Gerrit Dekker, and was the eldest of their three children.Following his first marriage, Ken and family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and he earned an engineering degree from Marquette University in Wisconsin in 1976 and continued his career with the Allen-Bradley Company.He continued working for Allen-Bradley, through many moves and relocations, for the better part of 30 years, before transitioning into magnetics manufacturing management, retiring in 2009.After retirement, Ken was involved in volunteer work, including mentoring young business professionals.On August 9, 2008, Ken married Linda Lou Ward Volz. Ken and Linda enjoyed playing bridge, and Ken served as president of the Sooner Unit of the American Contract Bridge League. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking, visiting casinos, "Judge Judy," and game shows.Ken loved spending time with his family, and at Christmas would come up with creative games that the entire family loved year after year.He also loved playing and watching golf and tennis. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and San Antonio Spurs.Ken enjoyed spending mornings with his coffee and newspaper on the back patio, and doting on his cats.He was smart, funny, generous, loving, and a good and inventive cook. Most of all, Ken was a great husband, father, grandfather, and person.Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Jim Intravaia.Survivors include his loving wife, Linda, sisters Annette Intravaia and Eileen Kotecki (Dennis,) sons Mike Dekker and Tim Dekker (Rebekah,) daughter Katie Davis (Tracy,) as well as grandchildren Kathleen, Timothy, and Connor Dekker, and Bailey Davis. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Lily Lou and Beatrice Gail.Services will be held at Smith & Kernke North May Chapel, Monday, November 7, 2022, at 2:00pmMemorial contributions can be made to Free to Live Animal Sanctuary
