Kenneth Francis Wolf

Kenneth “Kenny” Francis Wolf passed away on October 5th, 2023.  He was born on December 29th, 1956 to Don and Rose Ann Wolf in Oklahoma City where he lived his entire life.  He was a devoted family man and lover of all people who brought warmth and kindness to every room he was in.

Kenny grew up as a good farm kid from Wheatland, Oklahoma and was a 1975 graduate of Western Heights High School.  He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Nazarene University.   He spent most of his career in the banking industry while ending at Computer Services, Inc.  Along the way, he developed lifelong relationships that he cherished and took with him his entire career.  There was nothing more Kenny enjoyed than talking to people about life and going after big goals.  “All you have to do is go out and do it,” he would often say, and he was so proud of anyone who did.

He married the love of his life, Laura Lee Smith, on February 3, 1984 at St. Eugene Catholic Church.  They went on to raise three girls who he loved and adored making him the ultimate “girl” dad.  Later in his life, he had the privilege of getting blessed with boy grandbabies who he took under his wing and mentored to be outstanding young men along with a granddaughter who had him wrapped around her finger.

Kenny loved his enormous Catholic family and would light up anytime he had the opportunity to be in the same room with all his brothers and sisters.  The stories they would tell, memories shared, accomplishments, and the growth of all their families made him unbelievably proud of every one of them.

His interests included his nice lawn that he mowed until the day he passed even with a bad knee, running, shooting a basketball with his smooth follow through that he taught his girls in his driveway (“nothing but net”), his beloved Oklahoma Sooners on his TV, a good beer, and the Eagles jamming while in his swimming pool.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Laura of Edmond, daughter Jonna Wolf and husband Griffin of Edmond, grandchildren Kylar, Makyle, Aleck, and Paislee, daughter Jennifer and Ty McGinty of Stillwater, daughter Abby of Edmond, sister Anita Craiger and children and grandchildren of Harrah, brother Father Don Wolf of Oklahoma City, sister Mary and Richard Malaska of Edmond and children and grandchildren, sister Lynn and Sal Sandoval of Edmond and children and grandchildren, brother Roy and Robbin Wolf of Oklahoma City and son.

A wake will be held on Wednesday evening at 7pm followed by a funeral mass on Thursday at 11am at St. Eugene Catholic Church.  Attendees are invited to a luncheon after the mass at the church.
