Kristina (Kristi) Anne Holmes, aged 45, of Edmond, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away at her home on March 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with ongoing health challenges.
Born on December 9, 1980, in Oklahoma City to Robert and Kathleen Holmes, Kristi was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend who touched the lives of everyone around her. A proud graduate of Edmond Santa Fe High School in 1999, she further followed her passion by earning her Nursing degree in 2016.
Kristi’s heart was as big as her smile. She was a natural caregiver—always ready to offer compassion and support to family and friends. She treasured sharing laughter, stories, and quiet moments of understanding, meeting everyone exactly where they were in life. Her unwavering presence was a comforting beacon; if you needed her, she would be there without hesitation. Though a dedicated fan of Notre Dame and OU, the person she cheered for most was her beloved son, William, whom she encouraged daily to work hard and pursue his dreams.
She is lovingly survived by her son William; her parents Robert and Kathleen Holmes of Edmond; her sister Brittany Kersh, her husband Geoffrey Kersh, and their children Reagan Kersh and Camryn Kersh, also of Edmond; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Kristi was preceded in death by her grandparents Francis and Elizabeth Carroll, Henry and Irene Holmes, and her uncle Michael Carroll.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Kristi loved her son deeply, and caring for him was her greatest joy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for prayers and support for William. If you feel led, contributions to help support him can be made here via Venmo.
Kristi’s warm spirit and loving nature will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
