Kyle Keeton

Kyle Matthew Keeton entered Heaven at the age of 49 on February 7, 2024.  Kyle was born to Gerald Keeton and Judy Keeton on March 5, 1974 in Oklahoma City.   He is survived by his parents, his sister, Kara Keeton, and his brother, Blake Keeton, along with his nephew Harvey Blaise Rice, Kara’s son.  Kyle is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He is predeceased by his grandparents, James and Ellen Battle, and Gene and Louise Keeton.  Kyle attended Putnam City North High School, graduating in 1992.  He started college at John Brown University and finished his degree at Oklahoma State University in 1997.  As a youth, Kyle traveled across the United States in an Airstream motorcoach with his grandparents, James and Ellen Battle.  He saw most of the country early in his life, which profoundly impacted his childhood.  He loved fishing with his grandparents, Gene and Louise Keeton, at Lake Eufaula.  Kyle loved family trips, which included snow skiing and beach trips to Destin, FL.  In his adult life, he loved traveling to Grand Lake, where he would spend time with his family and friends.  He loved all sports especially his OSU Cowboys, PGA golf, and WWE wrestling.   Kyle began his career in the mortgage industry, later working as a landman in the oil and gas industry, and lastly in the insurance industry where he served as a marketing representative.   At a young age, Kyle received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.  He was a faithful member of Crossings Community Church with his family.  From childhood, Kyle had a heart of gold.  He was generous, witty, a loyal friend and deeply loved his family.  Kyle was a very loving son who called his mother every morning at 8:00.  Kyle will be deeply missed, and now rests in the arms of his Heavenly Father.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 15 at 2pm, at Crossings Community Church Chapel in Oklahoma City.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Voice of Hope Initiative at Crossings Community Church.
