Laura Mae Bobo

On September 15, 2021, we lost one of the most beautiful souls that our family and others have ever had the privilege to know. Laura Mae Tucker Bobo was 89, born on March 16, 1932, in Dora, Alabama to Herman Dewey & Laura Anne Tucker. Laura married Arthell Troy Bobo on June 1st, 1952; they enjoyed many happy years together until his passing on October 1st, 1999. Laura and Arthell lived in Bloomingdale, IL where Laura was a marketing director for The Marklund Children's Home. They were also members of St. John's Bosco Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. After retirement Laura and Arthell moved to Sumiton, AL and became members of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Adamsville, AL. After Arthell's passing, Laura split her time between Oklahoma City, OK were her daughter Pamela lived and Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada where her daughter Bridget lived. She eventually settled in Oklahoma City due to health reasons. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always surrounded by lots of friends and family. She had the most outgoing, sassy, spunky, loving personality you could ever encounter. Her presence would light up a room. She loved to dance, joke around, give the best hugs and kisses, and told wonderful stories of her life shared with our dad. She believed adamantly that she was 5'1'' tall and no one could ever change her mind on that… we all knew she was really only 4'11''. She celebrated life so magically it's something that never went unnoticed and with that it's time that we celebrate her life and the memories that she left us with to carry forward.Laura is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons; one daughter; siblings Dewey Tucker, Roosevelt Tucker, Lois Myers, and Mittie Capps. She leaves behind loving memories with her daughters Pamela Laura Anne Migliaccio, and Bridget E. Findlay; grandchildren Bruce H. Migliaccio, Sarah Migliaccio Trepagnier, John D. Migliaccio, Nicholas R. Migliaccio, John H. Migliaccio, Jr., Natalia A. Migliaccio, Brian J. Findlay, Giovanna N. Migliaccio, Shelby-Lynn Findlay; great-grandchildren Haley M. Perez, Alyson N. Perez, Elijah T. Migliaccio, Nicholas R. Migliaccio, Jr. and Octavia J. Findlay.
