Lexy Lynn Huffman

Lexy Lynn Huffman died peacefully on May 8, 2026, surrounded by her three loving daughters. She was born on September 25, 1946, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. She was a loving, loyal and generous wife, mother, and friend, but she will be most remembered as a doting grandmother to her eight grandchildren.

Lexy graduated from Ponca City High School in 1964 and from the University of Oklahoma in 1968. While at OU, she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta, chaired the Model UN delegation, earned Dean’s Honor Roll and President’s Honor Roll recognition, and was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta. It was also at OU that she met her husband, Huston Huffman, Jr.

After college, Lexy moved to Oklahoma City, where she taught elementary school before starting her family. She was active in the Junior League of Oklahoma City, Lotus Dance Club, Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club, Casady Mothers’ Club, Dig and Hope Garden Club, Smart Assets Investment Club, and All Souls’ Episcopal Church.

Lexy was an avid reader and needlepointer who loved her Mah Jongg groups and time spent with dear friends. But she especially cherished summers spent with her family on Martha’s Vineyard.

Lexy was predeceased by her husband Huston. She is survived by her three daughters: Sarah of New York City, NY; Elizabeth and Lee Kaplan of Wellesley, MA; Emily and Paul Kelly of Hingham, MA. She is also survived by her eight beloved grandchildren: Katharine, Benjamin, Caroline and William Kaplan; and Madeleine, Claire, Bridget and Jack Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Lexy Huffman may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in support of Dr. Jennifer Temel and the Thoracic Oncology Quality of Life Fund.
