Linda Carol Knox

Our sweet Linda Carol Wolf Knox, 76, passed away surrounded by those who loved her. She was born on September 26, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Linda attended Classen High School and went on to earn a master’s degree in education from Oklahoma State University. She dedicated many years of her life to teaching children in Oklahoma City and Yukon, where she was named Teacher of the Year, and later teaching in Naples, Florida, before eventually retiring. Linda loved her time living in Florida and treasured the memories and friendships she made during those years.

Linda was a proud member of the Osage Nation and cherished her Native heritage. She was also a friend of Bill W. for more than 42 years. Throughout her life, she touched many people with her kindness, compassion, and friendship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ursula Rapp and Irl Wolf; her brother, Sam Wolf; her former husband, Dale Knox; and her sister, Mary Ann Wolf Buresh.

She is survived by her son, Steve Knox; niece, Anna Harris; great-niece, Lauren Ferrell; and Lauren’s daughters, Charlee and Oaklynn, who lovingly called her “Aunt Belinda”; cousin, Nora Medley; the Birkhead family; and cousin-in-law, Beverly Rapp.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel in Oklahoma City.
