Linda Schaefer Suchak

Linda Helen Suchak, 75, was born February 11, 1949, to John and Leona Schaefer in Okarche, OK, and died February 15, 2024, in Warr Acres, OK.  She was the youngest of eleven.  Linda attended Holy Trinity Schools in Okarche through high school and was a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University.  She enjoyed her career with DHS and retired as a Regional Manager for the Office of Childcare after 25 years.  Linda loved her Cowboys, working with children, volunteering, and her animals.   She volunteered for over 17 years at Infant Crisis Services and was known fondly as the “Toy Guru”.  It was said she gave the best hugs, the greatest laughs, beautiful friendships, and happiness to thousands of babies and toddlers in Oklahoma.  She also volunteered at Meals on Wheels and was a faithful blood donor.   Linda is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, John Suchak as well as brothers – Francis, Bill, Gene, Robert, and Karl and one sister, Beatrice.  She is survived by her sisters Judy Easlon, Elizabeth Skala, and Janet Cosgrove and one brother, Mike Schaefer.  She is also survived by and dearly loved her 30 nieces and nephews.  Linda will be remembered for being a loving and caring friend and having tremendous impact on so many.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30a.m. Friday Feb. 23, 2024 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 5024 North Grove OKC, OK 73122.   All memorial donations should be made to Infant Crisis Services.
