Louis Delaney Persons

Louis (Lou) Delaney, II, 67, suddenly passed Tuesday, January 5, 2010. He was born in Oklahoma City September 3, 1942 to Louis, Sr. and Evelyn Persons. He attended High school at Muskogee, Oklahoma. He attended 2 years at Cameron College in Lawton; he earned his bachelor's degree in history from Oklahoma State University, an MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma and a JD from the University of Oklahoma. He was the first student president of the Indian Law Review. His first career was in the US Army where he served 2 tours in Viet Nam and earned the rank of Lt. Col. His final career was Asst. General Counsel for the Oklahoma State Dept. of Transportation working with construction, contract and environmental law. Lou was an active member of the Oklahoma City Sail and Power Squadron serving 1 term as Commander and was the current District Commander for United States power Squadron, District 31. Lou also enjoyed membership in the Central Oklahoma Parrot Heads with whom he shared many good times. He lived a full life, made many dear friends and is loved and respected by many people.
