Katherine Lucile "Lucy" Strange Beeler of Oklahoma City, OK, 99, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021. She was born August 18, 1922, in Clinton, OK to the late A.J. Strange and Sarah Milwee Strange. She married the late Claude Eugene Beeler, her beloved husband of 61 years. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dan George Blake.Lucile was a member of Crown Heights Christian church and leader of CWF. Her life was a testament to her faith and love for the Lord and her family. She adored her three children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of love, strength of character, responsibility and will be greatly missed. Lucy, as she is known in the golfing world, won the OK Women's Amateur Golf Championship in 1967 as well as various city and state tournaments through the years. She had 9 holes-in-one with two of them during one 18-hole round, the odds of which are 67 million to one. She also won a Buick for a hole-in-one in the State tournament. Lucy was inducted into the state Women's Golf Hall of Fame in 2002. Golf was not her only talent. She was a wonderful cook known for her "hot rolls" and delicious pies and cakes. She played bridge in several clubs and loved to read. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Beeler Blake; sons, Claude Jr. "Bud" and wife Barbara, and Jeff and wife Diana; 7 grandchildren, Dan Blake and wife Amy, Jason Beeler and wife Mandi, Doug Blake and wife Kathleen, Blake Beeler and wife Erin, Austin Beeler and wife Alison, Clay Beeler and Macy Beeler; great-grandchildren, Carolyn, Lauren and Dan Blake, Asher, Bennett and Sarah Blake, James Beeler and Bridget Beeler; as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Inn of Canterbury for their loving care and devotion to Lucile.In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Crown Heights Christian Church, 4020 N.
