Malachi Matthew Mills Sr.

Malachi Matthews Mills, Sr. passed away on November 28, 2025. He was a husband to Mary Mills. Born in Tulia, Texas, he was the son of Ruth and Ed Mills. He enjoyed hunting and talking about hunting with his sons. He will be remembered most by his storytelling abilities and his immense pride and love for his children and grandchildren. 

Malachi leaves behind his wife, children, and many grandchildren. He is reunited in Heaven with his son, Malachi Jr. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

One Less Call to Make

The wind blows a little different now,

Time seems to stand still.

The same leaves are falling, but they don't seem to hit the ground.

I sit here writing, waiting as if you're not around.

All the dreams we dreamt, all the mountains we had hoped to climb.

Saddens me because you're absent now. at least from my eyes.

The footsteps are quieter, while walking in the woods, you're not here to lead the way, and there's no answer when I call.

I know you'll be with me though, for every animal that may fall. 

I'll try to smile for pictures, although they may be fake, the hunt continues, and you'll be there too, I'll just have one less call to make.
