Matthew Phillip Moinette

Matthew Phillip Moinette was born on January 22nd, 1998 in Corpus Christi Texas. Matthew lived in both Oklahoma and Dubai, forging meaningful connections and friendships in every place he called home. He graduated from Bishop McGuinness High School where he was involved in the drama program, and later went on to become an apprentice electrician.

Matthew was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched countless lives. He was always helping family and friends in need. Known for his quick wit, generosity, and unwavering loyalty, he had friends across the globe who cherished his companionship and humor.

A lover of stories and imagination, Matthew found joy in reading, history, and learning, often immersing himself in worlds both real and fantastical. As a Dungeon Master in Dungeons & Dragons, his creativity brought entire adventures to life, just as his skill in blacksmithing and knife-making showcased his talent for creating with both mind and hands. He had a deep appreciation for music, a passion for travel, and an eagerness to explore new places, visiting countries such as India, Ireland, Denmark, and Spain. His gentle spirit shone through in his love for cats, his kindness putting others instantly at ease. Matthew relished going to concerts, embarking on new adventures, and gathering with loved ones for games—whether video, board, or card. In the kitchen, he took pride in cooking for friends and family, especially the hearty stews he loved to share. His legacy lives on in the laughter he inspired, the friendships he nurtured across continents, and the countless memories held dear by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Matthew’s name to a charity dedicated to suicide prevention
