Michael J. Fong

Michael J. Fong, 64, was born October 5, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George and Mary Fong. He passed away May 7, 2021. Michael was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. He lived in Oklahoma City at the family home.Michael was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his lifelong friends that he met at Bishop McGuinness High School. The last several years, he was self-employed, involved with mortgage closings for title companies. He developed many good friends through this business as well. He loved cooking and spending time with his family.Michael is survived by his sister, Laurie A. Fong; nephew, Nicolas Nielsen; niece, Megan Nielsen; sister, Candace Hottle and her husband Vandon Hottle, as well as their sons, Justin, Grant, and Dereck Hottle.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. Viewing is open to friends and family at Smith & Kernke at 14624 North May Avenue on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.The service will also be available via livestream at ckokc.org.
